Taxes and fees that are shown are estimates only. It has great amentities and location. Even though the place might be expensive, it looks like you had a great stay there. We got to stay there for our 10th anniversary, and now I feel so spoiled I can’t quite imagine going anywhere else on Maui.

Some good some not good. The room renovations which are almost fully completed include all new furniture, artwork, 55″ HD LCD flat screen tvs, upgraded internet and usb plugs near the desk & nightstands.We stayed in a renovated room last fall and I enjoyed the nice clean design.
Set in a volcano and surrounded by lava rocks, this is some of the most fun you can legally have in Hawaii. The Wailea Canyon water park offers 9 outdoor swimming pools connected by a lazy river and features a water elevator, water slides, waterfalls, caves, children’s pool, sand beach and a swim-up bar. Thankfully, the actual Lapperts shop is within walking distance and open late!Located right here on the beautiful grounds of the Grand Wailea is the Gran Luau at Honua’ ula (check out my review of the the topThe Grand Luau talks about the gods and goddesses that watched over the people and how they were able to live together in harmony. They have a tank where you can pick your own lobster too if you are into that.
We’re headed back next fall–can’t wait!How fun!! When you are looking for a hotel, Wailea has some of the best. My daughter and I really wanted to go back to that property. While the Grand Wailea is undoubtedly, grand, its larger-than-life scale doesn’t translate to luxury on all fronts, and hints of the resort’s age (it opened in 1990) surface from time to time. YUP! However, the one with incredible grounds, amazing slides for the kids, and the world’s only water elevator is our absolute favorite. Now we divide our time between islands.

Grand Wailea looks incredible – I don’t know if I could ever leave that pool area.It’s true… we don’t really venture out too much. I would love to share these kind of memories with them. I’ve never been to Maui but I’m pinning this for when we do!Aw, those smiles are just so amazing! Even though the place might be expensive, it looks like you had a great stay there. !I love Maui but have yet to take a trip with my husband and kids. We go every fall its perfect.

Good heads up about the food at the resort. We always see a lot here.Work out early at the fitness center and you may run into someone famous.
They have a tank where you can pick your own lobster too if you are into that. This place is better than ever. If there is one destination we have had a lot of experience with kids and travel, it would be Wailea, Maui.
